It all around works much much better than a plastic one - and I feel a bit ashamed for not having switched sooner because of how noticeable the difference was in smell, moisture etc. I find the scooper to be very awkward to use - but it works well with pelts.

Cats need to see around as much as possible when they are into their litter. It can be a big stress factor if not. This combines that need and also is very good quality. Great box! My cats have had no issues with it, and I have two cats. It was easy to put together and not too heavy to lift. I will say; if you have an XXL cat, it may be a little uncomfortable for them due to the lid. Also, depending on your litter, pee clumps will still get stuck on the scoop, but it is definitely easier to clean. The height of the sides is high enough that my loves-to-kick kitty doesn't get any out of the sides box. Speaking of her, the only thing that has been horrible with this box, is the sound of her nails scraping against the bottom! Just horrid! But that’s not the boxes fault besides it being made of metal. So it still gets 5 stars
